KYHorsepower Shootout!

The weather was cold, but that didn't detour a HUGE crowd to come out to the annual KYHorsepower Fall Shootout! It may have kept the spectators bundled up, but the chilly air helped provide some rich oxygen for the cars, resulting in the FASTEST...and quickest Shootout to date! Elapsed times in the 8,9, and 10 second brackets were very common all afternoon long. To add to the fast times, there were many beautiful cars in attendance, including the new ZR1 corvette, there racing on a temporary tag! Moto-X!!!

This was my first time shooting some dirt bike racing in the dirt, but it sure was rewarding! Action everywhere, and really a chance to do something different. I am about an hour away from Daniel Boone Moto-X Park in London, KY which is handy, because they race there at least once a month! So if you a dirt bike, mini bike, or ATV racer, look out for Shelby Cain Photo during the 2009 season, we will be there in force to cover the events, and give you guys documentation of your racing careers!

Downtown Lex!

What do ya do when your place of work closes up? Hell might as well use your days off to do some shooting! In late August, I joined up with a buddy and went to capture beautiful downtown Lexington! This is a good example of how to capture a season, or a feel of a city! I love shots like these, and really, they are among my favorites in my portfolio!

Every Fall, thousands of cars invade peaceful Pigeon Forge, TN for the Grand Fall Rod Run! Hosted by The Grand Resort, the 3 day event packs every hotel, cabin, gas station and spare peace of real estate with Show stopping, ground pounding and eye catching Hot Rods, Street Machine, and even some modern muscle!
